Before 1947, Late Haji Mohammed Dawji Dadabhoy during his stay at calcutta, was impressed with the activities of the Memon Welfare Society for their community and decided to do something for our community. After settlement in surat he disscussed the possibility initiating such activities for our communtiy an informal meeting of the social workers of the community was called at Hathuran. Preliminary discussions were held and it was decided to establish an education socity for this second formal was convened at kosamba on 02-03-1947.
